About Jing Art Gallery 境 · 美術館簡介
Jing Art Gallery is situated on the 11th floor of the Gee Chang Hong Centre at 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road, Hong Kong. It was established through the joint initiative of several seasoned ink art collectors from Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Aligning with the national vision to develop Hong Kong into a centre for international cultural exchange, Jing Art Gallery will leverage the city’s unique socio-economic advantages to build a leading international platform for the promotion and development of Chinese ink art. It aims to facilitate the formation of a distinctive narrative system for Chinese ink within the contemporary global context.
To this end, Jing Art Gallery has appointed Mr. Zhao Zhijing—Chair of the Visual Arts Committee of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Executive Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Art Association, and President of the China International Ink Art Society—as its Academic Advisor. In collaboration with curators and academic institutions from China and abroad, the gallery will advance scholarly research and case studies on Chinese ink art. Each year, it will organise and host thematic ink art exhibitions in Hong Kong, guided by the mission to “propel Chinese ink art into new international contexts,” thereby establishing a professional academic platform for ink artists worldwide.
The name “Jing” draws inspiration from classical Eastern aesthetic philosophy. Through curated exhibitions, art sharing sessions, academic symposia, lectures, and painting activities, the gallery offers each visitor an immersive experience into the unique artistic conception of Chinese ink aesthetics.
Jing Art Gallery brings together resources from established curators, renowned critics, and international collectors, providing collaborating artists with comprehensive services including professional curation, art criticism, collector salons, visual documentation, academic publications, and media communication.
We look forward to partnering with outstanding ink artists and peers in the field to establish a firm presence in Hong Kong while engaging globally. Together, we are committed to contributing to the research and development of Chinese ink art within the contemporary international arena.
「境·美術館」 位於香港黃竹坑道65號志昌行中心11層，由數位內地和香港資深水墨藝術藏家共同創建。「境·美術館」依託國家支持香港發展成為中外文化藝術交流中心的時代背景，將充分利用香港得天獨厚的社會經濟優勢，致力於打造中國水墨傳播與發展的國際前沿平台，助力中國水墨在當代國際語境中建構自己的敘事體系。
為此，「境·美術館」聘請香港藝術發展局大會委員視覺藝術主席、香港美協常務副主席、中國國際水墨學會主席趙之境先生為空間學術顧問，並聯合中外策展人、學術機構共同推動中國水墨的學術梳理和個案研究，每年在香港策劃和舉辦中國水墨主題展覽，以「推動中國水墨邁向國際新語境」為宗旨，面向全球水墨藝術家搭建專業學術平台。
「境」的名字得益於古老的東方美學理念，通過展覽策劃、藝術分享、學術研討、講座、繪畫等日常活動，為每一位到訪者呈現獨特的中國水墨美學意境。
「境·美術館」整合了資深策展人、知名評論家和國際藏家資源，將為每一位合作藝術家提供專業策展、藝術評論、藏家沙龍、影像記錄、學術出版、媒體傳播服務。
我們期待與更多的優質水墨藝術家和業內同行立足香港，面向全球，攜手前行，為推動中國水墨在當代國際語境中的研究與發展做出自己的貢獻！
Multi-facet Art Activities 多元藝術活動
Jing Art Gallery spans over 8,000 square feet and features a tripartite exhibition layout comprising the artist's studio, a main exhibition space, a secondary multi-functional hall, as well as an art corridor. We regularly host a diverse range of programs including collector-artist dialogues, master forums, brush gatherings with established artists, art therapy workshops, meditation, yoga, ikebana, tea ceremonies, and salons. These multifaceted activities and trainings are designed to create a holistic sanctuary for artists, collectors, and art critics alike.
境 · 美術館佔地8000多呎。包括有藝術家的工作室、主展廳、次展廳、藝術走廊三部分的展示空間。同時，空間定期開設，收藏家與藝術家面對面、名家藝術論壇、名家以筆會友、藝術療癒坊、禪修、冥想、瑜伽、插花、茶藝、沙龍等多功能培训与活动，全方位打造藝術家、藏家及藝術評論家們的身心港灣。
